How Can You Be a Great Instructional Leader When You Don’t Have the Time?

Instructional Leadership is a major job responsibility for the principal because its focus is on teaching and learning that results in student achievement and school improvement.  So how does a busy principal know what’s happening in the classrooms on a day-to-day basis that impacts student achievement? Key questions for the principal include: (1) What is an instructional leader?  (2) What are some procedures and processes necessary to monitor teacher performance? (3) How do I monitor student performance?  (4) How do I help teachers improve? (5) How do I make time to be an instructional leader?  Participants will get answers to these questions and more during this daylong workshop. Presented by Dr. Deborah E. Jones, Educational Leadership Consulting, LLC
